Top 10 Best Australian Travel Blogs To Get Inspired By!

At one time or another, we have daydreamed about being a travel blogger while sitting at our desks or while being stuck in traffic. I mean who wouldn’t! Travelling the world and documenting your experiences while also making some money! Sounds pretty good right?

Well to get you inspired, I have rounded up some of the best Australian travel blogs that are jammed packed with juicy goodness. This list is in no particular order as all these travel bloggers offer up their own unique twist on travel and the world.

Top 10 Best Australian Travel Blogs To Get Inspired By!

1. Tuula

Run by the ardent traveler Jessica Stein, the blog offers a pure insight into the serenity one attains when venturing across open frontiers. Jessica took the leap of faith along with her husband and daughter, and ever since that day, never looked back.

They packed their bags and decided to go around the world without thinking too much about the complexities involved. As of now they have covered most countries in Europe, America and Oceania.

The blog is filled with scenic panoramas and beautiful family portraits enjoying exotic food in little known restaurants. To keep her audience engaged, she also shares her experience at different locations from time to time. The content can be extremely helpful to someone whose thinking of going on urban expeditions and currently holds limited travelling experience.

Jessica makes ample use of social media, particularly Instagram, giving her followers an easy way to get in touch with her while enjoying mesmerizing photography.

2. yTravel

yTravel is one of the best Australian travel blogs to follow, and for one obvious reason: it breaks the common stereotype that you can’t take extended vacations with your family. The blog covers the everchanging life of an Aussie family of four who travel across the world, from rural villages in Asia to high-rise megacities in the US. The family shares their adventures on their blog while providing fun-filled content on their YouTube channel.

Furthermore, to help more people take the leap of faith, they share valuable information, e.g. how to make money while travelling, etc. Their travels have been widely praised, garnering the attention of major media outlets such as Forbes, Today.com and Fox Businesses.

The family has even been granted a US green card based on their digital presence and for their extraordinary efforts in the travel blogging genre.

3. Aussie Travelers

“Eat, play, stay…” A simple yet solid chant to rally on! 2 Aussie Travelers is an online blog run by Toni and her husband Drew. They started it off as a simple platform to share pictures and videos of their experiences. Due to an overwhelming positive response, they transformed it into a full-blown travel blog, now incorporating phenomenal landscapes of Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the Asia-pacific region in general.

In addition to snaps, the couple also shares advice, tips & tricks on travelling, to ease any difficulties they face for their fellow globetrotters. The blog gets updated with new content almost 3 times a month, while fans can stay updated through the official Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

4. Frequent Traveler

Time is often the defining factor for most people when it comes to travelling. Due to the fast-paced nature of life, one finds it daunting to uproot his/her life and take the high road, no pun intended! However, once you cross into your mid-life and approach retirement, things may change.

Frequent Traveler is a resource for such individuals to whom time isn’t a concern. Its run by a couple, Ros and Alan Cuthbertson who offer specialized advice and knowhow for people who are over 50. Their blog posts are very resourceful, and if required you can even contact them for a more professional arrangement.

Of course, the couple maintains a huge collection of photos, which they share through their blog and social media platforms. A decent video collection can also be found on their YouTube channel.

One of the best Australian travel blogs, Michael Turtle shares stories of his travels of over 60 countries, ultimately adopting a nomadic lifestyle. He has jotted down his experience in the form of blog posts, summarizing entire guidebooks and brochures.
